Then I have a look at Thor #344, a Balder-centric issue which features the first appearance of the dark elf, Malekith, as Walt Simonson's epic storyline continues! There's also a Living Landslide! It's an action packed Fafnir-centric Extravaganza as we cover Thor #136 from 1967 and then jump waaaay ahead to 1984, and the Walt Simonson run, with Thor #341! Also in this episode, we say a final farewell (yayyy!!) to Jane Foster (at least in her lamest incarnation), have a cameo from a strange visitor from another planet (and his nosy reporter girlfriend), the return of Karnilla, the Norn Queen... the return of Sif... plus Thor gets glasses! And lots of Fafnir. Let's not forget about Fafnir.

Before we move on to the Simonson Fafnir story, we go back to where we left off in 1966 to cover Fafnir's first appearance in The Mighty Thor #134 and #135, which also features the first appearance of the High Evolutionary! Plus, we see Jane Foster teaching school, Odin's big-screen voyeurism, and I point out why fighting against Balder is not a fair fight... Also, cameos from Galactus, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch!

This episode, I return to solo action (not THAT kind of solo action) and chat a little bit about the recent comic book movies, and then continue with our classic Thor reviews and cover The Mighty Thor #132 and 133 from 1966, which feature big headed aliens (not THAT kind of big heads), and the first appearances of The Recorder and an Ego the size of a planet...er...Ego the Living Planet! There are nobbly bits (not THAT kind of nobbly bits), antibodies who wear swim trunks, and in Tales of Asgard, the Black Stallion! (I would say 'not THAT Black Stallion', but i think it might be...) Do we have new powers? YES!! TWO of them! Tree Deaths? Alas, no.

In this episode, we wrap up the epic multi-part Thor/Hercules saga with Thor #130 and #131, in which we also find out that Jane Foster's new roommate has an enormous head! Plus Thor rubs mud in his hair in Tales of Asgard! Scott had some sound issues this time, but I've tried to adjust for those in post production.... Sorry bout that.

With Scott back from his pelting & trapping this week, we cover the penultimate issues in the Hercules/Pluto saga, Thor #128 and 129 - We see the Asgardian equivalent of a racing car bed, I make a surprising number of Star Wars references, Jane Foster thinks Eric Meador is dreamy...wait, who's that over there..? Not to mention some cool monster fish... all this and two Tales of Asgard! It's a Thanksgiving miracle!
