It's our first year anniversary! To celebrate, we have a very special guest, David Carron of The Troth, and we talk about Asatru and what it means to worship Thor and the other Norse gods! Plus an installment of "Just For Valhall-of-it"!

In this episode, we return to our normal programming as we cover a couple of fine classic issues.
We start out with Power Pack #15, co-starring The Warriors Three! Then we look at Thor #140, featuring the growing threat (pun intended) of The Growing Manhood....er...Growing Man! Plus Kang the Conqueror makes an ineffectual appearance!
Tree Deaths: It's a veritable tree massacre!
New Powers: Yes, and rather an implausible one at that!

It's episode 50! We have an EPIC character profile of Thor himself, and then Scott and I cover the EPIC (well, ok, "epic") Thor graphic novel "I, Whom The Gods Would Destroy" circa 1987, in which Don Blake has a one-night stand, Sif models some lingerie, and we wonder just what was Marvel thinking...

In our run-up to episode 50, The trolls invade Asgard in Thor #139! We have a major continuity error! Thor attempts suicide! There's a shrinking hammer (and it's not even cold outside), a communist troll, and in Tales of Asgard, we learn that Thor don't know much about geology. I can haz No-prize? Then in Thor #360 our heroes return to a destroyed, Odin-less Asgard. It's a more introspective issue, but Thor gets to throw runes and fight an Aztec mummy looking thing.

It's an All-Sex special! Not only do we have some soap-opera-iffic action wrapping up the Lorelei storyline in Thor #359 (including the return of her big pink stork), but in Thor #138, the most erotic issue yet, Thor's "hammer" is swallowed up by a giant purple "clam", and in Tales of Asgard, our heroes fight a hairy one-eyed monster, and learn a lot by fondling an old man's staff! It's just too easy, folks... Add to that a guy with a flashlight sticking out of his head, and a problem that's more difficult to talk about than it is to solve, and you got yerself a show!

In this episode, we cover two great issues as we go back to 1965 for Thor #137, featuring the first appearance of Ulik! Ulik, the mightiest rock troll of all! Ulik! Whose strength rivals that of Thor himself! Ulik! (not to be confused with any one else by the name of Ulik!) Ulik! Whose name is repeatedly stated throughout the issue! Yep, that Ulik! Then we leap forward to 1985 and look at Thor #358, in which Lorelei rides a stork, and Beta Ray Bill faces the commie menace of the Titanium Man!

This week our good buddy Scott Coles joins me from Canada, and we discuss Thor #356, which features a fill-in featuring (who else?) Hercules, entertaining some hideously deformed children, plus Walt Simonson (apparently) defaces a tree! Then in Thor #357, we're back to Simonson-y goodness as Thor returns to Asgard, there's a snowball fight, and Odin's throbbing sceptre is handled by almost everyone! (Oooh my!!)

In this episode we cover the Norse myth, "The Building of Asgard's Wall" - Then, we wrap up our coverage of Thor: Vikings with issue #5, in which pretty much everyone dies!! We see the Statue of Liberty's cleavage, and Doctor Strange co-stars... sorta.

The story really gets moving in Thor: Vikings #4, and then the Warriors Three shop for kitchenware at Macy's, and Thor meets an Asgardian Pokemon trainer in The Mighty Thor #355! We present a mini-profile of Sal Buscema, and we read out a couple of emails and talk more about Rom: Spaceknight!

Between hacking up evil green stuff, we go off on a tangent as we have a look at ROM #65 (now with 95% less Thor!) where the Earth's greatest heroes gleefully participate in a horrible genocide! Plus, the story really starts to get moving in Thor: Vikings #3, co-starring Doctor Strange!
